A
native of the California Bay Area, Karen Fleschler, graduated from
San Jose State University with a degree in Social Science, and also
earned a teaching credential. After a long hiatus from high school
art classes, she resumed drawing and painting classes at local
community colleges and studied under local artists.
She started entering shows and festivals in 2003 to promote and sell
her artwork, and along the way, has won many awards including a
first place at the Amador County Fair for "Wine Barrels"; second and
third place awards, and numerous merit and honorable mentions.
