Marin Open Studios Spring Open Studios 2012
May 5 - 6:
Studios open 11-6 in Novato, San Rafael, San Anselmo,
Fairfax, Woodacre and Forest Knolls
May 12 - 13:
Studios open
11-6 in Ross, Kentfield, Greenbrae, Larkspur, Corte Madera, Tiburon, Belvedere,
Mill Valley and Sausalito
Each
spring the Marin Open Studios sponsors this annual event, which now are held on
the first two weekends in May. The first weekend is dedicated to Studios in
Northern Marin, The second weekend is dedicated to Studios in Southern Marin.
Over 80 talented ICB artists will be opening their doors for this festive

ICB's Annual Artists Open Studios 2012
On the second weekend of May 12-13 the Marin Open Studios Event.
On the
first weekend in December "1st, 2nd,", the
Industrial Center
Building Community of Artists welcome visitors to experience
the annual Winter Artists Open Studios Event, which has been a Sausalito
tradition for 40 + years.
Sausalito is well known to be an "Art Mecca" in the San Francisco Bay Area and
Northern California.
This is an opportunity to meet the artists in their studios and to view their
works of art. More than 80 artists studios will be open to the public for these
two days.

This event affords the visitors
no
better place to find exceptional art works i.e. Sculptures, Paintings, Prints,
Fabric Artists, Photography, Unique crafts and Special Gifts, while also
enjoying the savings that are offered when you buy directly from the artists.
The ICB Location is nestled close to the San Francisco Bay, toward the North end
of Sausalito, (see
map) this landmark historic building is steeped in the area's
ship building roots, and rekindled by the creative juices of a vibrant community

community of local artists is home base for a multitude of
professional artists working in a wide variety of artistic

forms and more. It has fostered Sausalito's historic art
scene for over twenty five years.

The San Anselmo Art Studios
were established twenty-five year ago
at the old Isabel Cook Elementary School. The building was
constructed in 1927 as the Red Hill School, then re-named in
1949 for a beloved principal. The school closed in 1975.
A wide range of mediums- oil, watercolor, pastel,
printmaking, photography, mixed media and sculpture- are
represented as well as a wide range of subject matter and
styles.

Artists of the Novato Arts Center present
First Sunday Open Studios
[first Sunday of every month
,when resident artists welcome visitors into their studios,
from 11am to 4pm. Housing over forty working artists
in three buildings, Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, a
museum store, and art classrooms, the Novato Arts Center at
Hamilton Field has become a locus of the visual arts in the
San Francisco
Bay Area.
